You attack thin air...

Here I am again, with another blog. Don't worry, the section about web development will be small this time, and there will be pictures of my games further down…

Short section on web development

Yes, I did read your comments in the last blog (Thanks Flashback, AG, and sirXemic. I …

Redirection. Site Design. Ultima.

RIGHT. Redirection. Site Design. Ultima.

In reverse, order let us begin.

Mega dons glasses and examines his notes.

Right. I played Ultima IV for the first time a few days ago. Nice little game, even with the dated graphics (Proving that you don't require fancy art to enjoy a game). …

I'm still relatively new at this...

jQuery. Heh. And here I thought it was some JavaScript interface to databases, or for data processing. Where has it been all my (web development related) life?

This demonstrates how little I know in some areas while knowing so much in others. Not the first time I've been put off …

Yet another patented Mega-Wall of Text

Beware. Written at quarter past WTF? last night. No proofreading done, though I have added an extra disclaimer further down. Enjoy.

I can't believe how little I've written for you guys this week. It's unacceptable! =P

Actually, I have an excuse: I was working. On a simplistic website. So why …

You now have some time to catch up...

Posted by Astryl on May 21, 2012, 2:50 a.m.

Alas, unforeseen circumstances mean I can't work on my entry for a few weeks, maybe longer.

No, my PC didn't blow up.

I recently found this image floating around on GamaSutra:

I declare 64Digits to be that bit near the North-Eastern corner.

Now discuss the C++0x/11 standard. I'll update my blog a bit later.

The rest of the blog, as promised

Posted by Astryl on May 16, 2012, 12:42 a.m.

Got more stuff going on, including hittable/breakable barrels (That scatter bits of themselves around when you destroy them), custom font, and 100% Wine compatibility…

Anyway, I'm really pleased with the way the game is turning out; it's stable, it looks nice (enough) and probably won't be finished in time, but …

Panic. I wrote something useful.

Arbiter - Progress Log 2

Posted by Astryl on May 11, 2012, 9:35 a.m.

Arbiter. If you don't know what it means, then, in accordance with ITA 404, section C, I banish you to some dictionary or the other until you discover it's meaning.

That's the name of my game, and I'm sticking with it. Anyway, quite a bit of progress. I managed to …

Adventures with Raytracing

Yesterday was a good day.

~Mega sits leans back in his seat, wipes his monocle, and pauses for a moment to sample the wine he has in front of him. He grimaces and hastily returns the glass to it's place on the table, and opts for his pipe instead…~

Caution: …
