More levels/smaller map files

Posted by Scott_AW on June 10, 2008, 10:06 p.m.

More levels for Black Shadow have been made, currently 15 with secret or alternate route ones included. On top of that a brand new jump sprite which looks alot better then the one before.

And as for The Crawl, as I rework the editor I've made the map files much …

Diversions.

Posted by Scott_AW on June 1, 2008, 5:55 p.m.

Its been a busy couple of weeks in all ways and I've had little-no time to work on my projects.

What time I do have I"ve spent playing some indie games: Emily Enough: Imprisoned, a nice dark un-rated old school styled point-n-click adventure game. Short and sweet with a good …

Rotating Development + Demo

Posted by Scott_AW on May 23, 2008, 2:03 a.m.

As it tends to be a habit of mine to conjure up different project ideas so is it to cycle through to the neglected when I need a change.

Currently I have three active projects, The Crawl, General Kings and Black Shadow.

Currently General Kings is being neglected as I …

The first GM version of The Crawl

Little searching in google revealed that I do still have the latest demo of my long lost fake-3d version. I wish I hadn't lost -all- the resources for it, it was nice.

Not quite ready but mostly there website

The Crawl Rehaul.

Posted by Scott_AW on May 4, 2008, 6:55 p.m.

I've began rehauling the interface for the Crawl's editor, starting with options. Also I've decided to be abit more organized and made a excell document that describes the new coding process.

The new process, which is just theory right now, will greatly improve the save/loading/processing of maps and may even …

Ton-o-Textures, and old school rant...

Posted by Scott_AW on April 27, 2008, 12:10 a.m.

I've started redoing the editor. It needs some updates and some limits fixed.

New Design and functions for the tile placement in the editor. You can now set the type of shading, contouring and the amount of tint applied. Also with a sub display to show you the potential output. …

Titled out.

Posted by Scott_AW on April 20, 2008, 12:40 a.m.

The title screen for General Kings I brewed up yesterday.

I've decided to include into my note taking a list of graphic resources I have and will make for this project. I find documenting little ideas, processes and resources on paper(even if seldom looked apon afterwards) helps in getting things …

Pretty much done mapper

Well its pretty much done with the exception of saving to different names. You can rename the file it saves as if you wish to keep your map, as it(should) work with a complete demo of the game it's for.

You can set the terrain types, …

GK-Mapping.

Posted by Scott_AW on April 11, 2008, 11:23 p.m.

Well with the competition out of the way I've been taking a break from GM for the past half-week. Now I've come back to work on that side-view war game which is now entitled 'General Kings'.

I have the interface(for the most part) set up and ready to go. Next …

Beta testers aquired.

*** No more testers needed ***

I've just about wrapped things up for my comp. project, name Shield Breaker and have created a fully functional(minus some tiny details) beta version.

Its pretty much good to go, except that I have no music for it.

There is no highscore table in …
